A kitchen remodel for a client involved creating a cathedral ceiling and reorienting the layout, while keeping the existing cabinetry and rough-ins. A new island, flooring, hardware, appliances, and lighting update the otherwise unchanged volume. Upstairs, three small rooms were combined into a primary bedroom and the ceilings vaulted as well. Reclaimed timber beams were added for structural support and left exposed for character.
